Supplying the Personal Touch
Why Stoneman Group?
Montecito sits on the same geological formation that produces Santa Barbara Sandstone — the golden, buff-toned stone that’s shaped the region’s Spanish Colonial and Mediterranean architecture for over a century. It shows up on estate walls in East Montecito, along Butterfly Beach, through the Golden Gate and Park Lane corridor, and up into the Randall Road and San Ysidro foothills. And getting it right means understanding both the local material and the wider palette of Old World stone that pairs with it.
Stoneman Group has spent 25+ years sourcing exactly that combination. We’re a family-owned supplier, not a single yard, which means we’re not limited to one look or one quarry’s inventory. We can put together the regional sandstone character alongside imported French, Italian, or Spanish stone on the same project, depending on what the architecture calls for.
Neighborhoods we serve in Montecito:
East Montecito, Butterfly Beach, the Golden Gate/Park Lane corridor, Hot Springs Road, Ennisbrook, and the San Ysidro foothills.

Montecito’s estates lean heavily on warm-toned sandstone and boulder work in Spanish Colonial and Mediterranean styles. Our Olive Mill, California Castle, and Beverly lines were selected with that character in mind, and we can source additional options if you need something different.
We’re a stone supplier — we source and supply the material itself (boulders, flagstone, veneer, slabs), backed by quarry relationships that let us find matches a single yard often can’t.
Yes. Send us a photo of the existing stone or a design reference, and we’ll work to identify and source a match.
Lead times vary by material and whether it’s in-stock or sourced to order. We’ll give you an honest timeline before you commit.
Both. Much of our Montecito work comes through architects, landscape architects, and contractors specifying stone for high-end residential projects.
